Overview
About Me
I'm a writer, photographer, traveler, gardener, and animal lover. I retired from my job as a school nurse in 2019 and my kids are grown, so I'm free! I enjoy Art Museums and Broadway shows and the convenience of having a direct train from my town into midtown Manhattan that leaves every half hour (most of the time) and arrives in about 44 minutes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been an Airbnb host for several years, and truly enjoy hosting people from all over the planet. I learn so much about the world and it keeps me young!
Travel is so much richer, and more memorable, when I get to know people who are native to the places I visit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Escaped from an elephant by singing to her... and diagnosed a child with TB of the kidneys. (Okay, that's two...)
Teach, Learn, Share
As a host, I can offer a small, private bedroom with a twin bed (and/or a couch), and use of the kitchen and other common rooms. including an outdoors area with a deck and garden.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would enjoy treating my hosts to lunch or dinner at the restaurant of their choosing, where we can get to know each other a bit. I can also prepare a meal at home (and do the clean up!) if preferred...
