I've been living in Brazil for the last year and a half, working as an assistant professor in the College of Languages and Letters (Faculdade de Letras). I grew up and was educated in the United States, but I've gotten hooked on living abroad. I'm a teacher by trade and love learning how to say "what's up?" in every language I can.

Interests

Anything involving sunshine and excercise. I'm an amatuer basketball player, and enthusiastic (but uncoordinated) dancer and a budding acrobat (looking for someone to help me with my handstands).

Nossa Senhora! I'm terrible at answering this question. If you haven't heard Sam Cooke yet, I reccomend you check him out, he's an old favorite. And books...Alice Munro and Pablo Neruda are on my bedside table currently.
