About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live, to laugh, to love...

ABOUT ME

I'm tall. I like to play games, although I can be a bit too competitive for some. I love jokes and laughing. I love music but can only sing and play one song on the harmonica. I seek out good company, good drink, and good food.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosphy is complex, but if summed up it goes like this: Treat everyone as you'd like to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by hosting and surfing. At first mostly hosting, then mostly surfing. Now a good mix of both.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first priority in life is to learn new things, and all surfers and hosts have taught me something I didn't know before they came into my life. I put great value on seeing new perspectives, and there is no better way than to surf a couch or host some surfers.

Interests

I have many interests. Too numerous to enter here. Sometimes I wish I was more intersted in certain things. Some things I take too much interest in and spend way too much time on them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Bill Bryson and Malcolm Gladwell for non-fiction. John le Carre and Micheal Crichton for fiction. Currently I'm reading ˝The Keys to My Neighgour's House˝, which is about the Bosnian War. For movies anything classic without too much CG. On music I'll take nearly anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quite enjoyed jumping off a cliff into Crater Lake in Oregon, USA. It was thrilling. Hiking the rice terraces outside the small village of Batad in the Philippines was incredible. All my travels, though, have been amazing and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Growing up in Wyoming, I can instruct people on proper hunting techniques. I can also give a basic lesson in boxing. Also, being an accountant, I can teach the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting. I'd like to learn an instrument, possibly the harmonica. I once had some surfers teach me how to solve a Rubik's cube. And most recently I had a surfer from Budapest teach me some wicked guitar skills.
