ABOUT ME
I am 30, a big fan of travel, bookstores, music, and into very into health and exercising. I read constantly and tend to have a few books with me wherever I go. I have traveled much on my own and hope to get my family more into it as soon as I can, I want to take my dad to ireland and my little brother to spain. I am first generation American on my moms side as she was born in Cameroon Africa (and fluent in French) and my father is a New Yorker. I've completed my degree in Political Science and am currently working on my 2nd book.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Though it's not official through the site I've on many occasions shown strangers (domestic and internationals) around my nearest city of Washington DC off of random conversations started near monuments which led to day long walks through the city showing them my favorite parts.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While in Denver I slept on the couch of some Russians who were just nice enough to take me in after meeting for a few days and they showed me a side of the city I never could have experienced without them. I've only even crashed via friends or friends of friends in the past few years but it's typically how I've traveled the country. I've seen NYC, Miami, Chicago, Nashville, Phoenix, Austin TX, Denver, Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Philly all through the grace of couches. I have now traveled cross country 7 times and am looking forward to my 6th experience. It's the best way to go in my opinion, why bother with a hotel when the travels are supposed to be about what you see and not where you stay.

Music, Movies, and Books
First and foremost, my own book. For which I gave away two years of my life.
Other than that here's a few favorites.
The Power of Habit. Following the Equator. Zorba the Greek
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've traveled alone through Costa Rica and Panama alone and snorkled in some of the most beautiful waters. Driven cross country (mine the USA) 7 times. Been in a movie. I've performed stand up comedy in 21 different cities in the USA and CANADA.
Teach, Learn, Share
Anywhere can feel like home if you know some nice people, even the smallest towns. While the largest cities can feel lonely if you're not willing to talk to those who are unknown to you and turn them into friends.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, always. If I am done with a book you're welcome to have it. As I will be driving around the country I can also give a ride to fellow couch surfers looking to get from one city to another.
