About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live my life so well that death will tremble to take me. Or something along those lines...
ABOUT ME
I am a good-spirited islander lad with green eyes, weird hair, and big bushy eyebrows. I am happiest when I am with the ocean, and I hope that I never have to live very far away from its briny glory. I recently got my SCUBA certifications so I'm stoked to get out into the world with an excuse to jump in the ocean anytime I see it! I am an avid canoeist and outdoorsman and I hope one day to canoe across Canada. I am a passionate environmentalist and in my spare time I love hiking, boating, swimming, sledding, camping, rugby, soccer and sailing. I love dressing as a robot, writing theatre, poetry, and fiction, and I have a History/Philosophy degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. I play jazz trumpet and guitar.
I love travelling and exploring, be it local or global. I want to experience the world as much as I can before I bite the dust. So far this is working out pretty well.
PHILOSOPHY
"We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that death will tremble to take us"
-Charles Bukowski
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet new people and escape the doldrums of hotel life.
Interests
I would love to see the northern lights. Jam sessions are wicked. Jazz music, letter writing, N64, Capture the Flag, Theatre, Citrus fruits, pomegranate, and fresh pineapple are great too. I love pubs for the beer, garlic fingers and nachos. I love skiing, nordic or cross country, rock climbing, hiking, nature walking, canoeing, Frisbee. I'm always up for a beer and a drinking song or two, and I will never turn down a campfire.
