ABOUT ME

I'm Portuguese & British but feel like a citizen of the World. Therefore I have always had a great interest in meeting people from all over as I consider it the best way to gain a greater perspective of what is going on out there and of how different cultures work and function. I am a cheerful, positive, enthusiastic person, who wishes to meet anyone interested in improving the world and by that I don't mean it has to be anything too complicated - smiling a lot, helping a stranger in need, doing something good without expecting anything in return, using kindness and calmness as weapons, being modest, polite and warm hearted, are good examples of actions that I consider make the world an easier place to live in :)

PHILOSOPHY

I truly believe that each one of us has a unique purpose to fulfill in this life that will ultimately culminate in a contribution to the good of Humanity. However, it is so very easy for one to get sidetracked, off-centered and lost when surrounded by an environment, which is becoming more and more 'artificial' and 'divorced' from Nature.

Generally, in modern societies we are leading lives in which we are constantly being 'swallowed' by our routine and worries, having no time to live in the very exact moment. Unless we rethink and change our ways we will continue to support an unsustainable and decadent system.

We need to relearn how to live and connect with our real selves. We need to acknowledge and enhance the wonderful Human feelings of generosity, humbleness, solidarity, kindness and Love. We need to increase our awareness of what is happening to our planet, our ultimate Home. We MUST reconnect with Mother Nature and come up with more natural and simple ways of living. By doing so, we will not only become healthier and happier, but also beautify our surroundings living life to its full potential, making the best of all the magnificent gifts Nature provides us with.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met lovely people on CouchSurfing mostly while I lived in Porto, my home city. Now I have been living in London, so haven't been as active as I'd like here. I can not host at the moment (because I don't have my own place yet) but I'd love to meet for coffee or a drink and show you around the areas I know in London. I am also willing to be shown around by any local who wishes to meet me :)

Going out with friends, walking in the park / forest, chilling out, watching films, talking for hours with special friends, spending time with horses, Horse riding. I also love cooking, gardening, travelling and always enjoy a long talk about life and ways of contributing to improving the world we live in.

My favourite books: "My Ismael" - by Daniel Quin, "The Celestine Prophecy - by James Redfield", "The Tao of Equs" - by Linda Kohonov, "Siddartha" - by Herman Hess,"A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle, "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, "Os Maias" by Eça de Queiroz, "A Mensagem" by Fernando Pessoa (really enjoy anythign written by him), etc.
