ABOUT ME

Last spring I graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. I guess that's where my CouchSurfing stories begin. After spending an amazingly chill summer working at a local brewery, my friend Katie and I began our trek across Western and Eastern Europe. We bummed around people's couches, hostels, train stations, and airports, having a total blast and adventure. After spending about a month at home I came down to live in Dominica with my boyfriend. He's a med student at Ross University and I am along for the ride. I'm trying to take advantage of my "gap year" as much as possible and what better place to do that then Dominica. Being from the Pacific Northwest I love the outdoors, hiking, swimming...pretty much anything that's active.

PHILOSOPHY

Currently? Being ok with the "quarter-life crisis" that seems to occur after college. My remedy? Travel

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like I said earlier, Katie and I stumbled upon CouchSurfing while we traveled in Europe. I had some of the best memories while we were surfing with people and I always said when I got a couch I'd open it up as a way to pay it forward.

Interests

I'm a pretty laid back girl. I love anything related to the outdoors, food, wine, ice-cream, desserts....I guess you get the picture. I also really love traveling and meeting new friends along the way. Due to my studies in anthropology, CouchSurfing sparks my interest in a way to live, first-hand other cultures. Also, in its purest form, CS is the ultimate form of reciprocity...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in Victoria Falls on Dominica. It was such an overwhelming force of nature-it blew my mind and made me feel completely humble to the awesomeness of Mother Nature
