About Me

I'm 21 and after a Europe hitchhiking trip and two WWOOFing experience abroad, I decided to come back and live in Iceland, i'm now in Ísafjörður and having fun.

Help ! I won't shut up, even though my friends try really hard to make me.

I wrote my presentation 2-3 years ago and i may have sounded pretentious but i'm nice in person i think. I added things in parenthesis that are more "up to date" if i do say so myself

Music, Movies, and Books

I like everything, specifically:
INDIE ROCK mostly
(mostly french) Rap
(I've got a pavlovian response to) House music (since an ecstasy trip at a festival in 2018; it was so fun, never again)
Reggae
Jazz
Brazilian rythms
Soul
Classical (piano or classical guitar)
(Anything with weird parts: weird rythms, harmonies, timbres and a ton of synthesizers)

I like photograph books, but also i liked Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Sepulveda, Camus, Orwell, Marcus Aurelius, Hermann Hesse. (I don't read that much anymore cause i got an internet plan on my phone and now i always have a videos to watch or an online article to read :( )

For movies, i have a huge crush on Nouvelle Vague movies: La Maman Et La Putain, Les Quatres Nuits D'Un Reveur, A Bout De Souffle, but i do like newer movies, the kind that you need to see twice: About time, Mr Nobody, The Game, Usual Suspect, Predestination.
(Or Wes Anderson movies and wholesome shows like Please Like Me.)

Black tea is the only thing actively holding up my broken soul (along with tri-weekly trips to my local library, good life/work balance, my friends that try to live with a me around, etc.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One summer, we took the car with my dad and my brother and we drove until it was dark, then we searched for a camping site and stayed there. Essentially it was a road trip and it was perfect

Also one day, i was feeling sick so i didn't go to school. Instead i went to Aix en Provence and i spent all afternoon looking at people, wrapped up in my jacket, and i was feeling really fine because i didn't really know this city at the time and i felt like a stranger

I think it's because of those two experiences that i'd love to travel, i had a feeling of remoteness from everything that mattered before and it felt really good

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach french, a few chords on guitar and ukulele, but i do want to learn the trumpet and a lot of practical skills, like whistling loudly for instance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well i don't know yet, maybe i can help with the chores or with french ? Or maybe to learn a chord or two on guitar for extreme begginers (guitar not included). I like to be by myself with a book or a movie but i like to meet new people too :)
