About Me
Hello! I just finished a year of teaching English in South Korea and am now wandering Australia/New Zealand before I head back to Canada. I grew up in a really small farming town in Ontario, about 2 hours from Toronto. I would best describe it as an intersection surrouded by a lot of corn.
I love being active, especially running and hiking. I'm very fond of tea and journaling and interesting conversations. I'm easy going and won't steal any of your belongings, haha.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'll be traveling through Australia and New Zealand in March and April 2017, and I would like to get to know some people here and see how the locals live, rather than just staying in a bubble of backpackers. I love to meet new people and share stories and ideas! I've stayed in a lot of hostels this past year and decided it's time to try something a bit different.

Music, Movies, and Books
Big into LOTR, Game of Thrones, Westworld, thrillers, and documentaries. Currently reading a lot of sci fi on my handy ereader; just finished Six Wakes and now reading Sleeping Giants. I'll listen to mostly anything, but some of my faves are Fleetwood Mac, Muse, Of Monsters and Men, Florence and the Machine, and The Civil Wars.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I decided to move abroad for a year to South Korea despite never having left Canada. That was a bit of a leap but it was a wonderful, enriching, and challenging experience. I also watched the sunrise on Mt. Fuji, which was beautiful.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of stories from my travels, my experiences in other countries and I'd love to cook something delicious for you! Also if you would like to learn the Korean alphabet and some basic Korean, I'd be happy to teach you.
