About Me
My name is Patricia Álvaro, I was graduated in Marketing and I’m still studying Business Administration and Management in Madrid. Moreover, I have been an exchange student at the University of Economics in Krakow.
Open to meet new people, places and adventures. Everytime, everywhere...
I love photography, writing and being outside so I figured it would be a good combination. I love meeting new people, I am extroverted. I'd love to do social things, be shown around, especially in a foreign country. But I also love time to just be alone and soak it all in. I'v been described as an everything enthusiast, meaning I'm curious and passionate about almost anything! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hoping to get to know some locals and make some friends while traveling.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books, yes! Ferrante, Knausgaard, classic literature. I love creative non-fiction, memoirs, good poetry
Music, I love dancing and listening music. In every music genre I can find something I like!
Movies, I'm that kind of person that knows a few movies really well but doesn't watch a lot of movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year when i was in Scotland, I decided to rent a car for a few days. I went to the Isle of Skye in the north of the country and it was great. Really long and small roads and nobody was there. I was feeling the only one in the world. The first 2 days i slept in a tent and i woke up with the vest views ever. I can not explain by words how beautiful was the landscape. Next day I went to a huge cliff and after that I had to sleep in the car because of the wind and the rain. It was an amazing and a different experience.
I could tell you many and many histories about my trips... But I think this one is one of the most special experiences for me. Three years ago I went to Marrakech with my sister. It was a different culture and completly different country. We met a guy, at the begginin he wanted to change me for camels. Funny but real situation. After that he bring us on his motorbike to his house for meeting his family and for having a mint tea all together. We were riding through the really small roads in the Medina (3 people in a motorbike) and when we arrived to his apartment we spent a really good time with his family. We talked about their and our culture and it was one of the best experiences i've ever lived.
My Erasmus in Krakow, for sure.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have learned so much about my own culture just by experiencing others, I once thought Spain didn't have it's own 'thing' just a combination of other cultures' traits. I now realize that is our 'thing', a combination of a Little bit of everything, and hard as it is to define, it is what make us who we are.
I really want to learn more about the cultures of peolpe around the world, and see how they live, whats the same and whats different. You can accept someone without knowing anything about them, but learning what has made them who they are is so much more fun and sharing the experience with them makes it even better!
