About Me

I love nature, animals, and the small beauties in life. I love to cook and am always trying to expand my experience on this by learning new cultures and enjoying new foods. I am laid back, relaxed, and an active individual. I have a good sense of humor and am looking to travel this summer to get a feel for other countries and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am not interested in the tourist scene at all. I would like to experience new places through the eyes of those who live in the city and would love any suggestions on things to see and do while I am abroad. I love to eat, so if you are social and would like, I would love to prepare a meal together and learn all about your country. I am very social and love meeting new people, my friends have spoken highly of couchsurfing for years and now it's my turn to finally experience!

Interests

Food and wine and people, nature, bike-rides and walking places as opposed to driving, seeing and assimilating to new cultures. I love music and am looking forward to being exposed to great new music on my travels. I am good with animals and will miss my cat while i'm gone so hopefully some hosts will have pets i can play with :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music :Van morrison, alabama shakes, debussy, Chopin, Tom Petty, Gaga, Hozier, Beatles (obviously), the Eagles...pretty much everything and anything!
Movies: I dont watch tons of movies but tend to like comedies or dramas--nothing scary!
Books: I can never get enough books, i love to read. Recently I've read Heat, Tender at the Bone, The Emperor of all Maladies, the Historian, Harry Potters, On the road, and the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I "hunted" (jumped out of a boat and snagged) a conch in Turks & Caicos and ate it right there out of the ocean as the sun was setting and it was a wonderful day. One of my favorite experiences! I have also surfed in mexico then hiked up the clif face to a beautiful meal overlooking a lagoon. I'm a nature nut and foodie :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stimulating conversation, good sense of humor, I can cook and am very organized and domestic .
