About Me

One phrase: love to travel! According to some sites... I`ve done a quarter of the world. Not sure that's true... guess it depends on how you measure. But I have lived on 4 continents and travelled to about 20 countries.

I work hard, which means that when I`m away from deadlines - I want to take advantage. That can be travelling, staying at home with my dog, having a drink, dancing, reading a book... Down time always has something interesting (even the occasional netflix binge).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is a TV show in Brazil that shows the world through the eyes of people living in certain locations. For example, Shanghai through the eyes of Brazilians who live in Shanghai. Same with many many cities. And what is obvious - nothing beats local knowledge. You get the flow of the city, fall into rhythm quicker, and absorb more.

Its early 2016 as I`m writing this - and have yet to couchsurf. But I am looking forward to it. This years I should be visiting Greece, Portugal, and Miami (US). Maybe I can catch up on lost time!

Interests

Love to read. I`ve gone through 11 books in the first 3 months of the year.

Love music. Can be cleaning the house or partying or driving... always something on (very eclectic - from country to Bieber and more...)

Not sporty - but into horses and jumping. A hobby from childhood.

Parks and car trips with my dog. What can be better? (My dog doesn`t take planes though... so if you host me, no worries)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I`ve stayed at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore! Of course... I spent 3 nights in a cheap hostel in order to afford it... but it was worth it! For my 24 stay at the hotel, I never left. Did everything I was entitled to.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think learning is continuous. My job is in research... so I have knowledge in very odd areas... from South Korea's pharmaceutical industry, to Taiwan's contact lenses, to ESL in the US... lots of topics - and if you can't create enough of an interest to genuinely learn the topic... better not do it.

I also teach English on and off, and prep travel plans for friends and family.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not sure what I can share. What would you like?

I`ve lived in China - I`ve got massive tips for trips.

I can cook homemade pasta. :)

I can offer my home if you ever visit Curitiba, Brazil.
