**** NO COUCH FROM 19.03.-5.04.2015***** I was raised in Tirol- in the beautiful Austrian Alps and lived there until the age of 20. For some reason I decided to move to Switzerland and got "stuck" in lovely Basel. I'm working full-time in research, besides I spend my free time playing touch rugby, doing some other sports or spend time with my friends. I love nature, outdoor and hiking...but also enjoy relaxing at home with a glass of wine or beer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still a couchsurfer newbie and I actually would like to host more. Since I am travelling a lot (to see my boyfriend and for touch rugby) it's not always possible to host people. However, you can increase your chances by sending a couch request 2-3 days in advance. thank you :)

Interests

Africa, Tropics and tropical diseases, culture and foreign cultures, Biology and Medicine. Sports as touch rugby, yoga (if you can call it "sports"), running, also keen to try out new sports. I like nature and hiking...but also lying at the beach or just be at the seaside. Books...if I find a little bit time for reading. Cinema. Oh, and before I forget: traveling around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- camping in African wilderness
- be on a 100 years old, German ferry on Lake Tanganyika.
- having a 52h train ride in one row without sleeping cabin.
- lived almost for three months in a South African nature reserve in complete remote- and wilderness
- saw a lot of African wildlife and animals
- hiking in the Pyrenees and Scottish highlands
- much more...
