About Me

Hi all! I'm a sweet and outgoing girl who loves travelling and experiencing the varieties of the world. I have been abroad for a longer amount of time a couple of times - 6 months in China when I was 19 and 5 months in Bologna, Italy for an exchange when I was 22. I think being in another country for a longer period of time is a very giving challenge. And I love to talk about how travelling can change your perspective on both your own country and yourself ;)

Besides studying anthropology (I'm in my master now) I have a volounteer job at a house for vulnerable youth. I'm very involved with the running of the house and it's quite a part-time-thing for me. I love it and I think I probably learned more there than at uni!

I love to be around friends, cooking new things (I do excellent bread and cakes! And would love to cook for you!) I like most (new) things; culture, music, food, sport, and going out only being some of them :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being an anthropologist - or maybe because I love anthropology - I love to get a glimpse into the world of others. I think the best way to really experience a now country/city is to meet the people who lives there, talk to them, laugh with them and maybe even live with them ;) That's why I like couchsurfing - you meet local people who can tell you the best and worst things about the new place you are visiting and often you can give your hosts new insights to their home environment by just telling them about your day about the city.

I have couch surfed with different friends in Milan, Italy and Paris. I have also went by myself and met some really awesome people in both Berlin and Bologna, Italy. All my hosts have been really awesome people in their own ways - from art-collectors to movie instructors and harpe-players. Metal musicians and book-writers.

Interests

I like to read and enrich my life with new knowledge and perspectives on my every day world. My life is full of things I find interesting, which makes me a pretty busy person at times.

When I am off work and other engagement, I love to go out with friends. Explore my city and discover new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
- I'm the Harry Potte generation and I'm proud to say I love the books!
- The Odd Thomas series (Dean Koontz)
- The Book Thief (Markus Zusak)
(and many more)
... these days I'm reading a lot of anthropological philosophy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you would like to stay with us, plz write a personal message. I do not want to be a hotel for visitors, but rather meet new people that I will have a good time with. Therefore, think about wether you think we have something to talk about - mutual interest or something to teach each other? ;)

A few words about how you are planning your visit to be would also be nice - will you be out all day, partying, sleeping late or getting up early? Sight-seeing or visiting friends?
