ABOUT ME
I am semi retired and a mature age lady. I operate and run short stay accommodation in the inner city. I am outgoing, honest, gregarious, enjoy being in the company of interesting people. Love a joke and a laugh and exploring. Love meeting people from different parts of the world.

I have now relocated from Mount Hawthorn house to an apartment in Mount Lawley which is on the bus route to the city which takes only 7 minutes. Walking to the city only takes 1/2 hour. I have been in residence for 4 weeks now (1/6/15) and still unpacking.

I also have a holiday house south of Mandurah which is situated very close to the beach, enjoy swimming, crabbing and fishing, so when not travelling I spend many weeks there.

I have been hosted by 2 people when travelling overseas. Once in Berlin with 2 other friends and the second in Vietnam (Saigon) with a friend of mine, Len. Enjoyed the experience and received lots of travel tips and information from them.

From that experience, I decided to be a host but unfortunately haven't had too many CS's as my house was always rented to people on holidays. Now I may be able to host in between renting.

I was recommended by a friend who is a CS host and also experienced 2 hosts when travelling throughout Europe and Asia.

Interessen

My interests are many. Love meeting people from different countries, learning their culture and enjoying the cuisines of local dishes.
I am an artist, have a degree in Fine Arts, involving drawing, design, jewellery, china painting, art history. have recently explored the exciting world of learning metal sculpture by way of Mig Welding. Haven't sold any pieces as yet but hope to in the future. Love fishing, rock and roll and follow football and softball. Love the wildflowers of Western Australia. The other passion of mine is the love renovating and decorating houses. Always have my head in decorating magazines.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Travelled to Europe with my 2 daughters and 2 friends to complete in the World Masters Games (over 35 yo Olympics). Our Softball Club registered 2 teams to travel. This was held in Turin in Italy for 10 days in 2013. We decided to stay for 3 months travelling extensively and seeing 10 different countries and saw many beautiful countries, one being my favourite, Croatia, but absolutely loved Italy. The next games is in Auckland, New Zealand in 2017. This happens every 4 years and people from all over the world compete. There were 28,000 competitors who travelled to the Sydney games in 2009. The openeing and closing ceremonies were held in the Olympic Stadium, an amazing experience.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

With regards to CS guests I do like to try and teach the english language and in turn love to learn about their countries and cultures and try to say a few words in their language. Sharing information and being able to share my home is the best part of couch surfing guests.
