About Me

CURRENT MISSION

sleep, eat, laugh, create, see, explore, eat, laugh, relax, sleep, see

ABOUT ME

I am a fun-loving individual. I want to see and do everything. I often wish i could be in two or more places at once. I like the city and the country. I am an expert horseback rider and snowboarder. I design furniture for a living. I design in my free time as well. I cherish my friends the most, out of all things in life. I love to cook. I think my tastes and interests are vast and varied. I have a very large Rottweiler named Abbott. He's friendly, don't worry. If I find the opportunity I will move abroad. I can find a good side to most any situation. My ancestry is Dutch. At every apartment or house I've lived in, I've left tulips behind.

Update!!! I have found the opportunity to live abroad, and I now do. I just moved to Eindhoven, NL for graduate school. I'm studying design. No couch at the moment... Working on it.

PHILOSOPHY

If necessity is the mother of all inventions, laziness is the father.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Jean Luc Godard films, especially "Two or Three Things I Know About Her". I also love all work by Charlie Kaufmann and Michel Gondry.

My favorite authors are Italo Calvino, Marshall McLuhan, Michael Chabon, Haruki Murakami, and Milan Kundera. I also love children's fables and greek/roman mythology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best travel memory is in Italy. I was in Positano on the Amalfi Coast. I had just finished the best meal of my life at a trattoria near the very top of the city. I had the entire long walk down many staircases and paths (and jumping kitties!) to watch the sunset and think about everything. I know I will go back there soon.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, France, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom
