ABOUT ME

Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Patricia, an open, friendly, social, sporty and talkative person. And of course, like most of you here, I'm a huge fan of traveling.
I'm a lucky person I have already seen a lot of places in the world, but I can't get enough of it and there is so much more to experience. Freedom, great unexpected adventures, meeting new people and the beautiful nature, makes me wanna pack my bag over and over again :-)! Whether it's a city trip, a sports trip, camping or a backpacking adventure, I'm in for it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE
At my travels I met so many nice and friendly people, so I guess with couch surfing that can even be more. I live in Voorburg, naar The Hague, only 15 minutes by bike from the center and 20 minutes from the beach. I find it nice to meet people from all over the world and to show my city. Because I work all week, receiving guests during the week is more difficult. In weekends I have more time and we may offer you a place to sleep on the couch and a bike!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience as a surfer, was in 2014 in Costa Rica and it was really super nice! Amazing how kind people can be and that makes your travels so much more enjoyable! I believe it widens your look and it is interesting to hear about other people's life.

Interests

I am very sportive and mostly I like to do running. Good for body and mind and during running I get new ideas :-)! So if you know a nice run in your neighborhood, put on your running shoes and let's go!
Besides to that, I really like swimming, kick-fun and hiking. In winter I'm in for skiing!

On my travels in 2005 in Thailand I got my PADI and I added diving to my interests. I love the underwater silence and beautiful fish and creatures that are living out there.

Sometimes I feel a bit like a centipede, because I like so many things such as; beachlife, drinking coffees, having good conversations and laughs, my friends, sisters and family, going out for a drink, festivals, dancing, theatre, horse riding (actually I only do it when I'm traveling), adventures, hiking and if you think I have to try out something I didn't mention, than I'm interested to hear about it :-)...

I like movies with a bit of drama or action like; Into the wild, Kill Bill, Public Enemies, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Brokeback Mountain, the Revenant. I am not a fan of Science fiction.

Books, actually I only read on holidays.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up very early after a sleep under the stars in the Outback of Australia and walking around Ayers Rock by sunrise.

The sound and scenery of a big falling peace of ice of a glacier (Perito Moreno, Argentina) behind me, wow!

Playing whales, they made me so happy :)!

I like to meet open minded people to laugh with, learn more about other languages and cultures and I think it's interesting to see what keeps people busy in their lives.
