About Me

Important: If you are considering requesting to stay with us, please read Additional Info in My Home tab. Thanks!

I was born in Argentina and moved to the States at 19 where I went to Uni and lived for about 11 years until deciding to see more of the world.

After traveling thru the States, I travelled for a year in Asia and Europe before moving to Australia. I was only planning to stay one year but I met a kindred spirit and ended up staying in Australia permanently.

We live in the Blue Mountains, about hour and half from Sydney. I'm a senior admin coordinator and he is a geotechnical engineer. I speak both Spanish and English and Myles speaks English and German and he is learning Spanish.

PHILOSOPHY
I want to be like water. Strong enough to hold up a ship but able to slip through your fingers.
Find time to visit local places when travelling and let yourself be amused.
LGBTQ+ safe and friendly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in the concept of sharing what you have with others. I have hosted in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it. We hope to host again once we have a place of our own. Scratch that, we have decided to start hosting at "our place" now. We also look forward staying with people and learning from them and sharing stories.

Interests

We believe in travelling in the most sustainable and respectful way to the owners of the land. We aim to learn of their lives and not invade their space and lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Cloud Atlas. I also enjoy watching "bad" movies when I'm feeling down. My partner has had to endure watching Prince of Persia when I need to take my mind off things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surviving going snow-blind after crossing Cho-La pass at the Everest region.

Teach, Learn, Share

When hosting: share a meal, advice on places to visit, all shared areas of the house. Any time: teaching people AcroYoga. Helping with English and Spanish (my partner also speaks German), cooking vegan/veggo food.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share any of my skills, practice languages (Spanish and English), acro and Thai massage, and I can share many stories from traveling.
