Hello!

My name is Patrick Boisson and I’m a former U.S. Army Officer and Airbnb intern! I quit my job in Feb 2023 and have been traveling ever since to see the world, make meaningful connections with others, and see what opportunities might be out there as I navigate this new and exciting chapter in my life. I am aspiring to become a mountain guide in the U.S. and high altitude trekking is my #1 passion along with the outdoors in general.

I’m looking to use it as a way to make meaningful connections while traveling. I’ve stayed in many hostels around the world over the last year and while it is fun in certain phases I’ve found its difficult to maintain the go go go always partying/socializing pace. Don’t get me wrong I love having a good time and have made some phenomenal friends but it isn’t always the most fulfilling way for me to experience a new environment.

Music
Indie rock and electronic music are my two favorite genres. Also have a soft spot for country if it has that Zach Bryan sort of sound to it.

Books
Constantly reading or listening to a mix of fantasy/sci fi/fiction and non fiction. Harry Potter is my all time favorite for fantasy. Fav audio book series in my opinion is Joe Abercrombie’s The Blade Itself series/world. Fav non fiction book was the comfort crisis and Band of Brothers.

Happy to teach fundamentals of film photography and photo editing on Lightroom/Lightroom classic! I also have some experience with video editing on DaVinci. I have many google lists for every place I’ve traveled and happy to share those if there is interest. Happy to share my experiences and thoughts while in the military if anyone is considering that profession and if there are any connections I have on LinkedIn that hosts might be interested in connecting with I’d be happy to organize a meeting if it’s worth both parties time.
