About Me

I’m a passionate traveler currently studying Urban Studies and Special Planung at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. Currently I'm continuing my studies at the Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina. I was born in the city of Nuremberg in the German state of Bavaria.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe it’s the best way to experience and get to know a new place. Landmarks and beautiful facades are not what makes the world unique and interesting. It’s the people we meet and the stories we hear that make traveling magical.

Interests

I love proving stereotypes and cliches wrong by traveling to “exotic” places despite everyone telling me not to.

I love the feeling and heartbeat of large cities. Especially those kinds of cities most people would describe as ugly. I find it fascinating to experience urban spaces, observe how people interact with those spaces and how the spaces change or adjust over time.

I’m interested in societies all over the world. I understand society as a socially constructed set of rules which is constantly changing. The ongoing struggle with those rules in form of overstepping moral lines is extreme fascinating. I’m especially interested in subcultural movements which challenge established rules in society. Furthermore I care about the way societies handle all kinds of minorities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m really into electronic music.

I like books and short stories of the dark romanticism (especially authors like E.T.A Hoffmann and Arthur Schnitzer) which illuminate the dark and obscure parts of humanity and question the way society handles things.

My favorite author is probably Witold Gombrowicz. Most of his motives are still prevalent.

An all time favorite since my childhood is Jules Verne’s book around the world in 80 days.
