Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As many long-term travelers will tell you, the most fulfilling aspect of traveling is meeting people of different backgrounds and familiarizing oneself with their culture and way of life, and I feel couchsurfing is the most widely used house-letting platform which is centered around this endeavor.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I like a lot of different kinds of music, but I mostly listen to indie rock, hip-hop, and "electronic music".

Books - I tend to gravitate toward nonfiction - popular science, biographies, and history.

Movies - I usually favor dramas over action/adventure films. Some of my all time favorites are American Beauty, Adaptation, Pulp Fiction, Grand Budapest Hotel, and The Lives of Others.

Podcasts - I like shows that explain how things work and which discuss the interesting or entertaining aspects of recent events. E.g. Reply All, Radiolab, Science Vs

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked Sgarr nan Gillean in the Black Cuillin mountains on Isle of Skye, Scotland without any climbing gear. OK maybe not that impressive to you seasoned mountaineers, but I was quite proud of the feat.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I've tutored mathematics and helped people with coding.

Learn: I would love to learn a few outdoor activities including rock climbing, abseiling, and kitesurfing.

Share: I play guitar and piano and enjoy playing with others :).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've spent time in quite a few countries and can give recommendations for travel to those places as well as general travel advice. I also know a bit about the place where I grew up and spent most of my life, the state of Florida in the US.
