Overview
About Me
Kia Ora.
I'm from New Plymouth on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Naki Hard Core lol.
After finishing high school I moved to Auckland, spent fours years being a dirty and poor student and also somehow managed to complete a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree, finishing with first class Honors...stoked!! Now I'm down to Wellington to do a Bachelor of Commercial music with the intentions of hopefully running music festivals one day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As mentioned, I finally got through my degree and instead of going straight into finding a full time job and career, I've decided to celebrate and live a little by traveling overseas. At 22, this is the perfect time by having no serious family or occupational commitments to uphold. I will probably never have this much freedom ever again :(
With this freedom and eagerness to explore however, comes also have a very limited budget. Therefore couch surfing is the perfect tool to get around with the added bonus of being able to meet and learn from locals, experiences you miss out on when paying for accommodation.
On the flip side, I hope that I can bring my Kiwi sense of humor and give something back to any generous souls that allow me into their homes. And of course I'm more than willing to help out in any way I can when staying. I flatted with 7 other guys for 3 years so I know what a mess is and how to clean up.
As I'm new to this, and have just travelled thousands of kilometers away from home, I can't currently take anyone in myself. However, once back in New Zealand I will definitely be lending my place out to anyone who needs a place to crash.
Interests
In New Zealand, you can usually find me at the local rugby or cricket club or out soaking up the rays at one of the local surf spots. There's also the mountains to go snowboarding and just plenty of cool outdoor spots for fishing and the likes.
Alongside this I love having a soundtrack to my life and am always in the hunt for undiscovered music anyone's recommending. I seriously can't get enough live music in my life. I love a good feed and to share plenty of laughs and quality yarns over a few beers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done I would say is swimming with whale sharks. In Exmouth, Western Australia I swam deep in the Indian Ocean with these 10 meter long giants of the sea. Scary as hell first time but you must try.
