About Me

Hi this is Patrick!
My IG: ppben_ljl333

I was born in Sichuan, the land of pandas, hot pot, and all things spicy. Later, I moved to Shanghai for my studies—and to this day, it remains my favorite city in China!

After graduation, life took me to Kenya, where I worked for United Nations to support sustainable agriculture development in Africa. I have been to a lot of countryside and villages of Kenya.
It was an unforgettable chapter of my life, filled with amazing people, stories, and lessons. The most important ones I carry with me are:
✨ Live in the present.
✨ Be honest with yourself.

Right now, I’m on a contract break—and I’ve realized how much I miss the magic of solo travel. Every unexpected encounter makes life more wonderful, and that’s exactly why I’m here on Couchsurfing.

I’d describe myself as a curious question-asker, a good listener, and someone who loves to share stories. I also design and print my own postcards using photos I took in Africa, and I’d be happy to share them (and the stories behind them) with every host I meet.

My MBTI is ENFJ.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I want join couch surfing is that the travel notes I have read last year. A girl named Mantis traveled south east Asia using couch surfing. There are so many interesting and touched stories happened during the trip. I just want to experience it as well~

I went to Malaysia and tried CS for the first time. Couch surfing, for me, is not just about finding a place to stay, it's about the incredible opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who share a passion for cultural exchange and exploration.

I believe that travel is best experienced when you connect with the heart and soul of a destination, and that's why I here. Try to understand daily life behaviour, how you as local think do feel.

Interests

I’m happiest outdoors and love anything that connects me with nature—especially hiking, climbing, and swimming. In China, I’ve climbed many mountains, and in Africa I was lucky enough to summit both Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya.
