Overview
About Me
So far for the last 25 years I've been defined by school, university and career. What I've managed to discover about myself within that limited worldview is that I am driven to make things. Sculpture, furniture, potato guns, food, anything really will satisfy that urge. I can't not help people. Nothing makes me happier than leaving my house at 1 in the morning in half a foot of snow to rescue a friend who's car has stalled in a ditch. The last, and most apparent thing to me, is that I have a powerful, and so far unrequited urge to travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCH SURFING
I have hosted several wonderful people from all over the world at my house. Every single one has been a uniquely excellent experience. So far I haven't couch surfed myself, but that may be changing in a week.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love acoustic music with folk, Latin or heavy metal influence. I have a serious weakness for anything involving a banjo. In particular I've been listening to Ewan Dobson, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Crow Quill Night Owls, Mumford and Sons.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I poured 600 pounds of molten bronze at night using only the light from the glowing metal.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My strong work ethic. I will do the hell out of some dishes. I can also play didgeridoo if there's one available... or about 4 feet of pipe.
