I was introduced to Couchsurfing a few days before leaving on a trip to backpack around Europe in 2015 and instantly became an active member. The people I've met and become friends with through Couchsurfing have sincerely enriched my life and I hope that I'm able pay that forward to everyone I meet along the way.

I'm primarily on Couchsurfing to meet new people and gain perspective. Everyone has a unique history that shapes their outlook on life; I want to hear your story and learn about how you see the world so that I can challenge my own beliefs and learn to see life from different points of view.

Additionally, I believe that it's easy to pass through a city as a foreigner and see the main attractions but miss the underlying pulse that makes the culture beat. I think Couchsurfing provides a great way to meet intriguing people who can provide a much more lively and vivid experience of their home.

My hope is that the meeting of minds between host and traveler will add substance to the visitors trip while simultaneously adding spice to the host's daily life. It should be an enriching experience for both parties—one that everyone involved is able to grow from.
