I am trilingual (Spanish, French, English) and quadrinational (Spanish, British, Irish, Hungarian). I love to learn - it doesn't matter what but I just find pleasure in knowing more. I usually find that I can do this by having conversations with people about their lives, cultures, languages, traditions, aspirations for the future, and interests. I believe the most important and thus most valuable thing in the world is human connection. Couch surfing allows exactly this - by taking money out of the equation (other than the dubious subscription fee) human connection becomes the most valuable interaction and I love this. I hope we will get to spend some time together and speak about anything and everything!

At the moment Cage the Elephant, Arctic Monkeys, the Strokes, the Killers are the bands that I am enjoying a lot. However Rolling Stones, Queen, Elton John, ABBA and other etc... are always a guilty pleasure. But I will really enjoy listening to anything. As long as there's art and passion, it can always be appreciated.

One book that I think radically changed me was Guns, Germs, and Steel - an excellent exploration into the last 13,000 years of humanity and an amazing book to make one start to think about larger ideas. After that there are many academics who I have enjoyed reading, like the decoloniality school (Arturo Escobar, Anibal Quijano, etc) or sociologists like Charles Tilly who analyse the violent relationships that reign modern society. As you can see I really liked my degree! Crime and Punishment (Dostoyevsky), Cien Años de Soledad (Marquez), and Brave New World (Huxley) are the books I read most recently that I thought were truly excellent.

Outside of academic matters I am a fan of films that are not "blockbusters" (other than Star Wars - that's always been my guilty pleasure). "Being John Malkovich" and "Into the Wild" are the latest films that I have really enjoyed. Mostly because they don't follow the same plot line as most other films and are just a bit crazy.

Boiling myself down to one amazing thing is difficult - being born is already a pretty amazing thing in itself. Probably the best thing I can come up with is what I am doing right now and I hope this holds true for a long time. I want to constantly be doing amazing things one after the other and have a feeling that everything I do is amazing. So, travelling around France and Spain on a bike I found on the side of the road and carrying out interviews with ecovillages and meeting as many people as possible is what I finished doing when I first wrote this profile. Since I’ve been crossed the Atlantic on a sailing boat and have been travelling the Caribbean and Mexico since.

Reducirme a solo una cosa increíble que haya hecho es difícil - nacer ya es una cosa bastante increíble en si. Mi mejor sugerencia sería "lo que estoy haciendo ahora mismo", una frase que espero que se mantenga cierta por bastante tiempo. Asi que, viajar por Francia y España en una bici que me encontré en la basura, realizando entrevistas con ecoaldeas y conociendo a un máximo de gente era bastante increíble y es lo que acabo de terminé de hacer cuando escribí este perfil. Desde entonces, he cruzado el Atlántico en un velero sin motor (desde La Palma en las canarias) y he estado viajando en el caribe y mexico desde el principio del año.

In particular, I love to cook, so I would be more than happy to cook for you at the end of the day.
