About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world, meet people, learn about them, learn about myself, and film it all.
ABOUT ME
A few years ago, I made the decision to drop everything I was doing and move to Italy to become a certified English Language teacher. After earning my certification, I moved to Turkey where I taught for 9 months. That was my first experience actually travelling for such a significant amount of time and what struck me most was how much of a better understanding I had of myself at the end of it.
Since I moved back home a little more than a year ago, I haven't been able to shake the urge to get out and travel, but I also hadn't been able to save enough money to do so. Just recently though, a friend of mine (Chris Moran, another CS'er) and I decided to scrounge up our savings, pack up the car head out on a cross-country comedy tour (he brings the "haha's" I bring the cameras). Since we're not exactly big-ballin, and we don't have much time in any particular city, CS is a perfect fit for what we're trying to accomplish.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't know that I take anything seriously enough to consider it a philosophy. (and maybe that in and of itself, is my philosophy)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far, only a surfer, but once I get my own place I'm definitely looking to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
At this moment, I'm updating this from my 3rd surfing experience and so far it's been awesome. Aside from the financial blessing that it obviously is, I'm finding myself more intrigued at how great people are. The idea that people not only open their homes to you but are willing and often eager to show you around really makes me feel better about the world (cheesy enough? haha)
