About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life to be happy, first and foremost.

ABOUT ME

I am a young guy born in Perth Western Australia.

It is a small, isolated city, but I was lucky to have traveled a bit with my parents as a youngster. I definitely got bitten by the "traveler's bug" at a young age. I Have been to mot of the continents of Earth and want to visit all 7 (I'm heading to Europe soon so that just leaves Antarctica).

Living and experiencing life in different countries around the world has made me appreciate how much each person you meet has to offer you. That is why it always seems that the most amazing thing you can take away from any experience is to do with the people you shared it with.

Thus I'm always longing to meet new people from new places and see what we can share with each other.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know if I have a state-able philosophy as such. I think like everyone else, I'm just figuring it out as I go along.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far the only participation has been staying with a couple of amazing hosts.

When I get back to Australia I really want to get more involved with the events around my city and when I find myself in a situation with an available couch to open it up to people from around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far very limited, but I am hoping to do some through North America.

I have stayed with 2 hosts so far and met some others. My hosts were both amazing, giving me such an amazing space to live in and we got along so well from the get go. Cooking together is one of my favourite experiences with anyone I meet and in Bolivia we even had a cook off with my host and some of their friends.

When I finally arrive home from my travels I want to open my couch up to people from all over the world.

Interests

I don't find this an easy section to fill out, as each day my interests seem to grow as I see more of the world.

Travelling would have to top the list, along with everything that come with it. New experiences, new people.

I really love to cook and eat and drink. I love to be in the kitchen learning new food recipes from around the world to cook for my friends and shaking up drinks for people as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't know how I'm supposed to make this list without getting serious hand-cramp.

So far on this trip (15 months of backpacking so far) I;ve read more than 70 books. I am interested in almost anything written and try to see the movies that really interest me when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is to leave my own country and step out into the big, wide world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the best thing that I could offer anyone who stayed with me or I stayed with would be fun in the kitchen.

I love cooking, eating, mixing and drinking and am always up for any combination of those things.
