About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is simple, see as much of this planet as possible, meet interesting people along the way and grow old knowing I've tried hard to achieve this.....
ABOUT ME
I'm a very laid back person overall (outside of work that is!) probably work way too much but it allows me to take time off for extended travel every few years. I'm into food, cooking, art, music, surfing and pretty much anything ocean related.....
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live probably sums it up best. As long as someone's actions don't impede upon another's freedoms I feel people should be able to do as they please, when they please......
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have yet to have any couchsurfing experiences however I have plenty of friends who have urged me on with only positive stories of their experiences...
Interests
I'm fascinated by world history, geopolitics and global trends moving forward. I spend most of my free time with books and music. Whenever I can I spend time in the ocean, surfing and swimming and hope to focus more on that in the future. As a chef of course food is a major part of my life and experiencing new cuisines is a major focus of my travel experiences.....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being stranded alone in Tehuantepec Mexico many years ago during a huge taxi driver strike and semi violent protests was my first solo travel experience where I felt completely isolated and fearful and insignificant. This experience combining fear and self reliance taught me alot about myself and at that time my very limited world view. I will never forget it.
My entire four years in Bhutan have left me awestruck so many times it is hard to pick any one instance, the incredible natural beauty, amazing religious festivals and remote temples I have been privileged to visit as well as the incredibly welcoming nature of the locals especially in more remote villages.......living here has changed my life forever in many, many ways.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been a chef and a cook for over twenty years so I'm happy to share what I know and am constantly on the lookout for opportunities to learn more in all of the places I visit.
Countries I’ve Visited
