To seek out adventure and explore as much of our world as possible. I am currently travelling with my girlfriend Hannah through Sri Lanka, India and Nepal and we will be going to Canada at the end of May

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Pat and I am a friendly and energetic person, and love to have a laugh and a good chat. I am interested in meeting people from all around the world and experiencing all kinds of different cultures. I love surfing, diving, nature and all kinds of adventure. I graduated from a Marine Biology degree at university in 2012, and have worked some really fun roles in the marine tourism industry since then, such as being an eco ranger on an island resort, a scuba diving instructor and as a tour guide for whale shark snorkelling tours in west Australia. I also spent 20 months travelling and living in South & Central America and am now travelling with my girlfriend Hannah through India, Sri Lanka and Nepal before going to Canada!

PHILOSOPHY

Live life for the best. Enjoy every moment and don´t waste a minute. But tread gently, respectfully and sustainably. Don´t do it at the expense of others or our environment, and try to make whatever difference you can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed with different hosts around Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador and India and it was amazing every time. Meeting local people, seeing other parts of the country that tourists don't get to see, and the whole experience was awesome

I love all kinds of rock music: Acoustic, reggae, roots, blues, folk etc. My favourite band is The Beautiful Girls

I love a good book, from adventure novels to classics, so many great reads out there! I'm currently reading the game of thrones series and im totally hooked

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was lucky to get a volunteer position on the remote Cocos Island off Costa Rica (think Jurassic park) for 5 weeks as a scientific diver. I got to dive with hundreds of sharks including hammerheads, tiger sharks and many other species!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very easy going person and always up for an adventure or finding a new experience. I have a good knowledge of marine biology and of the different countries I have traveled to and am always happy to share this knowledge.

Also always happy to help with chores and anything you need doing around the house!
