Overview
About Me
I'm a freelance writer, a full-time reader, a lover of beer, and in need of a couch.
I've been living in New York for the last year, now I'm doing an East-to-West-Coast-roadtripp-ish thing.
Rediscovering my Couchsurfing account, having not touched it since I was an 18 year old gap year baby. Found about 100 couchsurfing requests that I never knew about. So, apologies all.
I'm as gay as the pink Prius that I'd quite like, but cannot quite afford.
My ideal travel day starts with a bleary-eyed-coffee and a good book, at your favourite neighbourhood place. Then wandering with no particular destination, seeing the sights and seeing the unsights, around a fresh new town. Photographs and observations would fill the day, until the afternoon sinks into the early evening and it feels appropriate to get an appropriately cold beer and share inappropriate conversation with a stranger.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
Beatles, Bowie, Crosby Stills & Nash, and all the oldies. As well as:
Tame Impala, King Gizzard, Mac Demarco, Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, Kurt Vile, Kendrick,
The list is infinite.
LITERATURE
David Foster Wallace is my favourite writer (Infinite Jest is brilliant, obviously, but his nonfiction is best)
Jonathan Safran Foer, Milan Kundera, Nicholson Baker, Borges, Barthleme, John Barthes, David Sedaris, David Rakoff.
Last week (as of May 12) I read A Little Life, and I'm still recovering.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been victorious in a car/bus chase through Kampot, Cambodia. Now that's a story to be told in person.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Aussie slang, as well as The Nutbush (an Australian line dance, that, for some inexplicable reason, we do to a particular Tina Turner tune).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories. Drinks. My writing.
I will keep your address and write you a postcard from the following city.
