About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore France, learn French, and meet new people!
ABOUT ME
Hello! I come from Portland, Oregon. I just recently decided to put my Portland life on pause so I could come and explore France! I am looking forward to getting to know the countryside and the people! I hope to get to know some great people, and practice my my French as much as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
Live with no regrets. Many people live their life as if they had another one to spare. I believe in creating the life that you aspire to live by taking proactive steps toward it. I try to put relationships first, and I strive to always be the best person that I can be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am traveling around France for a few weeks, and I hope to get to know several different cities by living with the residents! I hope to make some friends and have good experiences and practice my French. I will always be a respectful houseguest, and easy to get along with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only couch-surfed twice before, but I have hosted many people through Airbnb. It is always a delight experience, and I am always pleasantly surprised by my guests. I hope that I can also be pleasantly surprising to my hosts
Interests
I enjoy traveling, reading, personal discovery, philosophy, running, basketball, cooking, and music. I enjoy meaningful interactions with people, not only small talk. I am very open and honest about myself and I enjoy it when I find that quality in others.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of "girl" movies and romantic comedies! I also enjoy some drama's and suspense movies. I don't really like action movies all that much. As far as music, it really just depends on the song. Celine Dion, Eminem, The Beatles, it doesn't matter to me who signs it, it only matters if I like that particular song. I do like a lot of 90's music though. Books: non-fiction, personal development, and the occasional novel. I'm not good at remembering specifics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love to talk about life, travels, adventures and personal growth. I've lived in South America (Brazil), in Mexico, on a ship (Semester at Sea) and even in the woods (Pacific Crest Trail) all of which for more than a few months. I'm adding Europe to this list because I have always wanted to experience life in Europe and learn French. I'm very fortunate to have had a good many experiences in my life, and I'm happy to share them with my host, and learn about them!
Teach, Learn, Share
As stated above. Anyone can teach me something, but I'm most likely to learn from someone who lives live honestly and confidently. Someone who is able to live their values with integrity, but still know how to have fun and be silly. Anyone who is not afraid to be themselves, I admire.
