Overview
About Me
I'm very independent, but I enjoy spending time with and getting to know interesting people who are equally passionate about their dreams, goals, and relationships. I highly value loyalty, honesty, and integrity, both in friendships and relationships. I'm very laid-back and always joking around, but I also have a perfectionist side that is intensely ambitious -- particularly about my career and some of my long-term hobbies. I'm passionate about learning/indulging my curiosity about everything, self-improvement in all areas of life (physical, mental, emotional, relational, spiritual), anthropological nutrition, writing, philosophy, and many other things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I LOVE Couchsurfing! I've hosted about 6 people so far and stayed with 3. I'm hooked. Originally I tried it because I have several friends that love it so I thought I would check it out and see what I think. I LOVE to travel and have been to most parts of the US and a bit of Canada. Much of this travel involved staying with my many friends scattered about the country; however I often lamented that there were areas of the country that I wanted to visit where I didn't know anyone so show me around/stay with. I love the idea of staying with fellow travelers around the world, and hosting some back here in my humble abode in the Susquehanna Valley in a pay-it-forward fashion. It makes a lot of things easier and more fun in the process. I've loved the conversations with all of the hosts and guests I have met so far and the insight into different cultures. I also really like that this makes travelling more accessible and that it (along with other things like AirBNB and Uber) is part of a disruptive force changing the way we are able to travel for the better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, since this is a travelling site, I'll say that my favorite trip thus far was a two week epic road trip along the Pacific Coast that involved romance, redwoods, dear friends, anthropological nutrition, and lots of unforgettable stories.
Also flying in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon and meeting the Grand Canyon's Narnian squirrels was pretty awesome, though I think Zion NP has been my favorite park to date.
