About Me

ABOUT ME

Relaxed, adventurous. I studied engineering in college and making things is really exciting to me. I love to understand how things work, fix them when they're broken, and build them if they don't exist yet.

I worked in management consulting for a while after graduation and now I'm pursuing a career change to work in software.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm going to travel in Europe for a few months this summer (May-July 2018) and I'd like to use couchsurfing when possible while I'm there. I have had great times staying with interesting people and also have met many people just to hang out and get a local perspective on the city.

Interests

I love to read - fiction, non-fiction, you name it - I can talk endlessly about books.
I love coffee, beer, wine, food - I'm not picky.

Music, Movies, and Books

I use goodreads (it is like facebook for books) and you can see everything I've read there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode my bike from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C with friends when I graduated college.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some rudimentary guitar, basic portuguese, bike maintenance, and do handyman work around the house.

I'd like to learn the basics of more languages - French, German, Spanish.. I don't have aspirations to speak fluently but I'd like to be able to read, understand, and communicate the important stuff.

I can make a pretty good cup of coffee.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help with chores, fix up your bikes (change tires, clean and lubricate, adjust for comfort), maybe cook you dinner. I'm not an expert at any of these things but I'm versatile and willing to work ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Italy, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, United States
