Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Reconcile my perspective with the world at large.
ABOUT ME
Born in Los Angeles, transplanted to the Midwest.
I love the outdoors, but I've been trapped in urbana for the past two years. I take the stairs, and I'd rather walk than drive. I'm a big fan of public space and public transportation.
I'm friendly, and often outgoing. I appreciate silence as well as conversation. I'm pretty optimistic and don't stress easily, but sometimes I do like to plan things.
Other places (of any kind) fascinate me... I'm on a mission to see the entire Midwest before I leave here in a few years.
I'm a student at the University of Chicago. I study geography, whatever the hell that means. In my down time I work on a political campaign to deliver better health care to people who can't afford insurance and I do some work with high schoolers nearby my university. Looking to get into some volunteer teaching and education work.
PHILOSOPHY
Calm down.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted travelers from all over on their way through Chicago and I've spent a few nights on other peoples' couches in the US and Europe.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed in Dallas, Milwaukee, Rotterdam, Maastricht, and Ghent, and it's always been a great time. Stepping into someone else's world for a few days is a really good experience.
Chicago- some great people have stayed at my place... I'm a little removed from the center of Chicago's action but I think I offer a unique, college-aged perspective in an underrated neighborhood

Drove across the continent with my sister... some highlights were climbing on the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado, swimming in Lake Superior, and going to a slam poetry reading in Ottawa
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to talk to you in shitty, broken Spanish. I've read a lot of books, I can name drop a lot of philosophers, and I get off to looking at maps. Let's discuss something!
