ABOUT ME

I am a Junior in college studying Sociology and minoring in Education. I am in the process of attaining my teaching license for elementary school, ultimately hoping to work with 5th grade public school students and then work toward more policy reform goals later in life. I am a nordic ski racer and moved to the East coast to continue my education and my ski career. I appreciate a good adventure and exploring whatever my environment can provide, made easier in the off season of the spring. I am fairly outgoing and am keen on an open conversation or a comfortable appreciation of the quiet. I am used to sleeping on couches and think of myself as easy going and excited to get to know new folks.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing because I am poor college student and eager to lend a hand, getting to know some new folk and having the opportunity to get an insider perspective on the place I am traveling is always an improvement on the experience. This trip is as spontaneous an adventure I have ever had. I have always dreamed to get myself to Ireland and Europe and with a rough semester (and a recent credit increase) I decided to throw it all to the wind and see what I can learn with the little free time I have during break.

I love to write and read novels with that postmodern truth that leaves you swirling in your own ideas and those of the turbulence of time. I am as active a person can be and appreciate a long hike, run or bar in which to drink at. If there is music to be heard or sung I would love to be a part of it and am excited to participate in all those things in between from cooking to poetry to the inescapable sociological meaning of the self, there's plenty to explore so why not take the couple opportunities we have to dive into whatever we can.
