About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Music is Life. Everything else is just a living.
ABOUT ME
I'm a conductor, composer and music teacher from Canada. Up until last year I ran a small opera company in Toronto, and interned with a children's choir there. Currently I'm at Yale University studying Choral Conducting. I am most at home outdoors, and am a particularly avid canoe tripper and cross-country skier. Occasionally, I brew my own beer. I am a proud introvert, but I love deep one-on-one conversation.

I love meeting people who are into big ideas, arts, and culture, people who get me outside of the box! What better way to meet people than to share some time with them while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music = Eclectic: Sigur Ros, Kendrick Lamar, Snarky Puppy, Flying Lotus, Kraftwerk, Owen Pallett, Sufjan Stevens, Ben Frost, Johann Sebastian Bach, Lots of contemporary classical composers you probably haven't heard of (Alfred Schnittke, Olivier Messiaen, Georgi Ligeti...)
Books: Everything by Ursula K. Le Guin, The Cat's Table by Michael Ondaatje, Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, Dear Life by Alice Munro,
Movies/TV: Battlestar Galactica is the best thing ever put on television. I'm also really digging Orphan Black right now. I was spoon fed Monty Python growing up and could probably recite most of the famous Flying Circus sketches! Can't say I've watched too many films, so I would love you to share with me. Wes Anderson is cool.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have canoed several rivers in Arctic Canada, during the summertime under the midnight sun. It is light all day so you can paddle at night, and because you are above the treeline, you can see for miles!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make your own bread really fast and simply! I would love to learn to speak other languages, or about good films to see! I hope to share a love of life and good conversation!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking for people and hope to share a meal together!
