About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To collect enough stories for my grandchildren that I'll never have to tell the same one twice.

ABOUT ME

Student, philosopher and aspiring investment banker, traveling to expand the mind and enrich the soul. I've realized that everyone has something to teach you, and a great opportunity could be waiting behind every person you meet.

Half-American, half-Brazilian, I was born in New York and raised between New York and Rio de Janeiro. I aspire to a career in finance and a life of adventure.

I have a passion for motorcycles, rugby and surfing, all three of which have sent me to the hospital at least once. I never take mindless risks but thrive on calculated ones, and generally avoid anything predictable, conventional and mundane.

I feel an obligation to contribute positively to the world, and this attitude has led me most recently to Mozambique in Southeast Africa, where I've done a good deal of work with the United Nations and other development organizations. I'll be going back to Moz to continue this work soon, and am just thankful that I've been given the opportunity to help.

PHILOSOPHY

Our aim is to realize our potential, to love and be loved, to be significant and to be remembered. The perfection of character is the highest pursuit of the developed mind, and an individual can only be happy to the extent that they behave in accordance with their own beliefs.

If I am to err in judgment, I'd rather it be on the side of optimism, trust and generosity. All people have a fundamental value, and we are as happy as we are able to reject false measures of value and embrace our inherent and unshakable human worth.

In a nutshell, fill what's empty, empty what's full, scratch where it itches, and help others do the same.
