About Me

CURRENT MISSION

With traveling and couchsurfing in particular, to learn how other people and cultures laugh, play, dance, and connect in this world, as well as to learn from people that may have different perspectives than my own if only to have a deeper self understanding and an understanding of our coexistence

ABOUT ME

Endless curiosity about culture, travel, nature, food, philosophy, well, many things. As a guest, I love to connect with the people I'm staying with and get to know their perspective on a place, also happy to explore areas solo if a host is busier. I like think I'm pretty respectful of others place, things, and time and get along with a wide variety of people.

PHILOSOPHY

"Zenbition" striking the balance between having ambition for the things I want out of life while learning to love where I'm at know

Music, Movies, and Books

Good Will Hunting will always be a classic for me. For music, I don't want to be the guy who says "I listen to everything" so I'll say there's very little music I've turned away from. For books, I've more recently been getting into more eastern philosophy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking to the summit of Mt Baker, outside of Bellingham WA

Teach, Learn, Share

I've lived most of my life with this ideal of growth and self improvement and more recently starting to see that no matter how constructive my criticisms may be, the other side of the coin is always some discontent for who I am now. If I'm working on anything now it's being present and self compassionate. I really believe, at least as of right now, self compassion should come first, with genuine compassion and acceptance for ourselves only leads to tolerance, love, and acceptance for those around us, which may be what the world needs most right now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cooking meals for people. By trade I am a massage therapist with a focus on injury treatment, though I won't have a table while traveling I also have a bit of experience in thai massage which is typically done on a mat on the floor

Countries I’ve Visited
