About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world and make new friends.

ABOUT ME

I'm from Taby, a suburb to Stockholm, Sweden's capital. After my military service I went to L.A. to study for 2,5 years at Glendale Community College. I was originally set to go with a friend who had done lots of research on the school, the area around it, how to find housing etc. In the end I ended up going by myself since he backed out 3 weeks before we were set to leave. I set out for LA with nothing but 5 nights booked at a hostel. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and made me grow a lot as a person. After that I went back to Sweden to work as a bike messenger for about a year, which was the best job I ever had. I would gladly do it forever if I could. However, I decided that it might be a good idea to have a degree as well, so I went to Philadelphia to finish my Bachelors at Temple University,
In the fall I'm either gonna work in Philadelphia or get my Masters from the University of Warwick in the U.K. Right now I'm traveling along the west coast of the U.S. since I'm gonna be way to busy in a couple of months to do any traveling at all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Still very new to CouchSurfing, but I love the concept and have had only very positive experiences with it so far. I plan to host people when I get done with my travels in a couple of weeks!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a great time in Phoenix, AZ, which was my first CS experience. Then had a just as awesome time in San Diego, CA.

Interests

Biking is my biggest passion in live, which I try to do as often as I can. Other hobbies include skiing, reading and watching way too many movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love watching movies, and tend to do it way to often. Favourites include: Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Memento, The Mist (best movie ending ever I think), The Usual Suspects, Inception, Eden Lake, Zombieland, Amelie, Leon, The Big Lebowski, In Bruges, the Lord of the Rings movies and just about every weird and different movie I can get my hands on.

My dad always listened to classic rock when I was growing up, so I do love Springsteen, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and all those classic bands.

Bookwise I'm a real fantasy/sci-fi nerd. Favorite authors include: Robert Jordan, Paul S. Kemp and Eric Scott De Bie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Heliskiing in Alta, Utah. Best snow on earth. The feeling when you ski down a mountain top empty of tracks, on that special type of snow, is amazing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, Morocco, Norway, Saint Lucia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Sweden, United States
