About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Don't stop learning :)

ABOUT ME

I am a young basque girl who enjoys the little things in life. During the week I spend the day in university, and In my free evenings I like to play sports. If I lived in a warmer climate I could do outdoors, but as in Euskadi rains almost 365 days a year (it's a joke, I'm exaggerating) I have to pay a gym to protect myself from water.

On weekends I like to take advantage of the free time with my friends and my family. Go to the cinema, go out dancing or hiking the mountain are things that I usually do. If you decide to stay at my house I can show you all the beautiful things in the area where I live. In the Basque Country the distances are very short so we can go sightseeing and enjoy this area to 100% in a few days.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only participated in couchsurfin being hosted by different people, but I don't dismiss receiving people in my house and show the area in which I live. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experiences in couchsurfing were in summer 2012 in Portugal, and are so positive that I want to continue doing this so for many years. I've met wonderful people and I think it's a different and original way to know other countries and cultures.

Interests

One of my greatest passions is the world of cuisine (eating and cooking as well). I have a blog specially dedicated to that topic where I write and photograph recipes and reviews of restaurants. I would love to meet the food of your country or your best recipe and I can do the same for you. You have to try my Spanish Omelette :D

I also like the photography world. Two years ago I purchased a DSLR and although I'm not a professional in the field, I take pretty pictures. It's the best way to capture memories. Don't you think?

And of course I am passionate about traveling and meeting people, reason why I am here, in couchsurfin.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: The music I like is rock genre, especially the classic rock of the 60s and 70s. I have a large vinyl collection and my favorites are the The Doors. Jim Morrison had an amazing charisma on stage. I also listen, but to a lesser extent, contemporary music, especially songwriters and acoustic tracks.

MOVIES: In French there is a pretty word that is "cinephilia" and it means love for cinema. That's what I feel. I really like Tarantino, Brian De Palma and some Woody Allen movies. My favourite film ever is THE GODFATHER.

BOOKS: I read everything that falls into my hand, unless Paulo Coelho. I hate the way this guy writes.
