About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Got myself stuck in the home of the Denver Omelette for two weeks. But actually looking to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people, as well as get to know places from a resident's perspective. A couple years back a friend and I stayed at some former schoolmates' apartment in Milwaukee and it was a great experience, so this felt like a good idea.

Interests

I love to explore, be it an abandoned factory or a scenic mountain trail. Meeting new people and hearing their stories is my cup of tea. I listen to music and read books like an addict. Delicious food is love. In my free time I solve math problems.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A friend and I had the bright idea to sneak into Lollapalooza, a massive music festival in Chicago. We waited as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra began practicing in an adjacent park, and to the tune of Mozart we jumped into trees where we spent 8 hours trying to get comfortable. At 3 a.m., fearing discovery in the morning light, we army-crawled into some bushes and waited 8 more hours, covered in insects that surprisingly didn't bite. To the surprise of a few attendees (one of whom gave us baby powder to fight the plant itch), we came out at 11 a.m. to enjoy a day of free live music. One for the grandkids.
