COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mixed. I met a few interesting persons. At the same time there are people who wrongly assume CS community is another version of free hostel.

I will write a negative reference for ALL people who were accepted as our guests but they did not arrive, providing no explanation later on ! It means someone else could be declined as there are many people interested to come and stay here. Respect your hosts and their hospitality and rules, do not be selfish. READ CAREFULLY what they wrote in their profile.

Unfortunately there are also some CS members who do not understand what CS is and how it works. I had a bad experience with one person in particular, who was accepted but never showed up or got in touch with me to inform about his absence. After 7 months of silence he sent me a retaliation negative comment. 7 months ago I posted a negative on his profile after waiting 2 weeks for any explanation of his no-show. I posted very clear message in my profile informing potential CS guests, no show without explanation = negative. I did not get any message from him till August 6th 2014 over half a year later, message full of complaints and excuses. I decided to post a URL links with snapshot of our full private message exchange, so that you can judge by yourself. Additionally I would like to warn other hosts from people as Gabriel who clearly does not care much about host rules.

Interests

I am a social person. I have plenty of interests, that's why I always complain about finding enough time :) I love traveling, meeting with interesting people, going out, sport. I've just recently bought Garmin 310XT watch and start running. Moreover I enjoy reading books (popular-science, thrillers, economy related, history), blogs (mainly financial blogs + technology). I enjoy riding motorcycles. In 2011 I bought Yamaha FZ6 Fazer 600cc bike - I was riding across south and central Poland in the summer time and it was a lot of fun :) Then in June 2013 I bought Honda Phantom 200cc cruiser bike in Thailand, so I can travel a bit across Thailand and other South East Asia countries. In addition I am am also a big fun of movies. I like watching at home or go to the cinema. In BKK I used to go on Wednesday, as they have movie shows at discounted prices in that particular day :)

I am still looking for my place on Earth :) Currently it is Thailand, but I would rather settle down back in Europe one day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've seen in my life was a Grand Canyon, located in the USA, Arizona. Truly great experience to be in that place :)
