About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Food. Love. Music. Travel...that's the life for me

ABOUT ME

...I'm a true believer that everything happens for a reason. I try to be as positive about life's circumstances as I can. Awkward silences never really seem that awkward to me..I love meeting new people, especially others that come from all walks of life, different from my own. I love live music, I would go across the country to listen to some good music. I'd rather be singing my words instead of talking them. I am completely open minded, and it takes a lot to shock me. I enjoy stimulating conversations with strangers, soon to be new friends, cooking and learning about new recipes, DIY projects, discovering new books, volunteering and yoga.

PHILOSOPHY

"If you continue to try to navigate through constructs that are set up by other people, by other people's thoughts of who you are and who you should be, you will never be personally at peace."

"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year"-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have participated in a few CS Happy Hours in the local DC Couchsurfing scene

I just learned about this wonderful opportunity and so far I have only donated but I would love to become more involved whether it is providing a guest with a comfy couch to sleep on, showing travelers around the DC area, or just offering some friendly advice about where to go, what to see, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I travel often so I have not had the opportunity to host just yet but I had a wonderful experience couchsurfing in SE Asia this past may/June.
