Hi there! Nice to virtually meet you! We are Paula and Luciano (You can call us Pau and Lu). We are an Argentinian couple who met 10 years ago in Theatre classes. We are easygoing, respectful and fun! We like traveling, going to the cinema, reading comics, watching sci-fi series, writing, painting, photographing, long talks, a good laugh. We like to do things that not only entertain ourselves but are also rich for our souls, such as listening to Mantra music, meditate, enjoy nature, do Yoga or Chi Kung.

Lu graduated in graphic design and visual communication and at the same time studied theatre, biodance, and he also creates audiovisual contents. Pau is an English-Spanish translator, but also a Reikist, Salsa dancer, and currently studying to become a Kundalini Yoga teacher. Pau is more a mountain lover, and Lu a beach person, but the one thing that we have in common is that we both love nature! Nature is always our safe place, where we like to lay down with our pets, listen to music and meditate or just relax.

We have a great sense of humor, specially Lu who is very funny, believe me! We laugh at ourselves, and we love to talk and listen about life and different experiences. We consider ourselves very friendly and also super sensitive to the world. We have a dog and a cat at home, and we LOVE animals! We don't travel with them though, for now!

We think that language is not a limitation. We strongly believe that universal language is composed of laughter, art, music, animals, hugs, family and friends. Also, finding a beautiful place to get lost is sublime and a magical experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are extremely grateful to have been able to travel from a very young age, know different languages, cultures, and be able to interact with people from all over the world. We are always looking to meet people for coffee or mate, sharing stories and life experiences, sitting down to look at the stars, reflecting on life, laughing, sharing
dinner or enjoying something that connects us, being happy to share and we think couchsurfing helps a lot to that and brings us closer.

Music, Movies, and Books

We'll try to be short with these ones because there's a lot we like! We have a wide repertoire of films and series that we love, from noir cinema of the 50s, through comedies, science fiction (one of our favs!), adventures, thrillers or animation. Just to exemplify, from E.T the extraterrestrial, close encounters of the third type, coconut, soul, the bicentennial man, star wars, back to the future, man from the earth, the truman show, casa blanca, sense-8, breaking bad, terminator, etc. and so on we could go for hours haha

With regard to books just to mention a few: The psychoanalyst, the boy with stripped pijamas, The Little Prince, Don Quijote de la Mancha, Martín Fierro, La Iliada, La Divina Comedia, choise your own destiny (full saga), Many lives, many teachers, The power of now, and so I could also go on for a long time :)

Like the above mentioned, we love all kinds of music, but think there is a time for each song at different times of life, but just to mention a few genres: rock (Coldplay, the weekend), ballads, cuarteto, pop, hip hop, cumbia, salsa, among many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is difficult to enumerate the incredible moments we've experienced, we can talk more about them in person! :) But as a summary:

For Lu, he can say that one of the most beautiful moments was the first time he acted in the theater. People laughed a lot, and at the end of the show some approached to him to shake his hand or give him a hug and thank him because they'd had a good time. That was incredible, magical and beautiful!

For Pau, she lived with another family through a student exchange in Florida, USA for a few months, and it was definetly a big learning experience, not only for english but also going to school every day, traveling in the US, living with another family. It was amazing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share our happiness, laughs, talks, hugs, mate! also if you are interested in learning or improving your Spanish we will be happy to help you!

We can teach Biodance, or Pau can share tips on salsa dancing, Yoga, Chi Kung

We love photography and cinema, specially Lu who is always with the camera and we can always create something together! Or he can teach you about film, design, photography, program editing and social networking if it's something new for you but you feel like you want to enter those wonderful universes or if you want to learn more.
