About Me

Hello new World ;=)

I am Paul, grateful for living in a connected world.

Please read carefully the following text to avoid any misunderstanding.
We are 4 roomates (2 girls/2 boys) sharing an house (with a garden but no swimming pool yet ;=).
We are not living in Paris but near the city of Melun. It is located at the very south of Paris but there is every 30 minutes a direct train between Paris and Melun (time of travel =30 minutes) in normal conditions.

As we are quite far from Paris, I would recommand to send us a request if you are in the following situation :

You have more than 2 days in Paris and you want to discover a bit more of France than just Paris.
We are closed to Fontainebleau Forest and to different beautiful cultural places (Blandy-les-tours, Moret-sur-Loing, Fontainebleau castle, Vaux-le-vicomte).
If you need fresh air, being closed to the river Seine and the forest (and having a garden) it can be a more good place to be.

More about us :

We are 2 native french guy coming from Normandie and the west coast of France and 2 french girls coming from west coast of France and South East of France.
2 of us are huge travellers and have lived abroad.
All of us are speaking English at least at an intermediate level.

What we can offer :

Tips to discover France
Cultural and language exchanges
Fresh vegetables from our garden (even if the production is far from spectacular)
A bed and a coach in the living room

Important facts to take into account :

All of us are working so we will have much more time to share with you during the WE and to make discover different places.
A 1-2 days nights would be a good a request for us.

An important thing to mention, is the fact that we are voting to decide whether we can host.
Sometimes, one of us can be willing to host friends/family or simply not be in the mood to have new people at home. So please, do not take it personnaly if we can not host you.

Just to make sure you have read this message, could you please insert in your message a specific/interesting/ funny fact or story related to this month and your country (for example, in France, in the national day (the 14th of July), during the night there are plenty of bals organised by the firemen).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here to discover new cultures and new countries by traveling or possibly by hosting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am quite a huge reader so I am still discovering new authors and books.
But to answer the question, I had read with passion the famous book from Camus : La peste (The plague).
Among non French authors, I really like Jacques London and Dino Buzzati.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With my brother, we cut timber a 100 year old oak that has fallen after a storm.
We were not experienced at all and had very basic equipments so that was tough !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer an overview of Paris and the French culture. Coming from the French countryside, I would be also glad to present you other French regions and give you some tips to travel in France.

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

France
