About Me

Young man with a passion for life. Made loads of mistakes on my journey but as I get older I'm learning the true meaning of life is the love of life itself and respecting and caring for it in all its wondrous variety. I am currently taking good care of myself after an initial attempt at burning the candle from either end. I spent my formative years as a complete hippy planting trees whenever and where ever I could. Being a hippy however had its drawbacks and I like being a retired hippy more as I am still grateful for the plants and animals that sustain us while at the same time i am able to pursue other ambitions. I'm currently in training for the new York marathon and im excited about achieving a life long goal. I like people and I have some wonderful friends who I care about very much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning to do a lot of running events around Europe and America over the next two years and thought it would be nice to meet local people while I do.

Interests

Nutrition, my family and friends, plants, theatre(amatuer dramatics) i love running, swimming and sunshine. I had to add sunshine cause i live in Manchester and when you live here you love it a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nirvana, the doors, faith no more, love reggae and enjoy dancing. My favourite book was Shantaram. My favourite movie was pay it forward.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a forest in west Africa with wild monkeys. I stayed there and grew and planted 4000 trees. No running water, no electricity. And had a black mamba snake slither through the living room. Yikes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like talking to people. I feel I have lived an interesting life and i like to encourage people to live their dreams.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Just my stories really. I can seem a little shy at first but once I open up I like to talk about all kinds of things. If i had to share anything with anybody it would be the night sky seen from new Zealand. I never saw anything as beautiful before or since and that I would share with everyone.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Scotland, Slovakia, United States, Wales
