G'Day

28y.o Aussie, born and bred on the eastern beaches of Australia. Recently been keeping myself busy working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the underground copper and gold mines of the Holy City of Medina Region. While getting in as much travel as possible!

In the last year I have
- Worked in middle of the Saudi Arabian desert
- Scuba dived in the freezing tectonic fissures of Iceland
- Road tripped Russia, watching Australia play in the World Cup
- Played in a Rugby 7s Tournament in Wales (with a fella I met in Hawaii years ago)
- Visited the radioactive town of Pripyat and Chernobyl at the site of the disaster in the Ukraine
- Presented at a Conference in Sudbury Canada, traveled 3km underground
- and so much more

But now I have finally saved up enough to quit my job, buy a sailing boat and sail the oceans with my friend starting in the Caribbean over the next years. The dream has begun

On couch surfing to share the joys of travel.

Now I am on it to meet you all and explore the Southern Florida area while I am running up and down the coast looking for that perfect yacht and dealing with all the purchasing/paperwork. Then its on the boat and off to the Bahamas! hopefully spend a pretty warm Christmas and New Years in the area and see some gators!

Books - Mainly auto-biographies of those who have pushed their body and mind to the limits of possibility. From world sailors to high altitude Alpinists to Astronauts.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have lived and worked under Sharia law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the last year, as a consultant to the Saudi Government. Bit of a change from Australia for an Aussie who loves his beer and bacon but got some ripper stories from the year.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I'm a sponge when it comes to learning. Teach me anything and I will teach you some useless Kangaroo facts and my best Australian slang.

With my future set on sailing the Caribbean I want to share that experience with those I couch surf with!

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I can place and remove items from high places for you, or help move that couch up that flight of stairs, so I can then sleep on it.

And many a story from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, working 1km underground or my time in North Korea or Russia.

And sailing! When I get a boat :)
