About Me

I'm in my 81st year, and am discovering I'm more healthy, sexy, and productive than at any time in my life. My friends say, "Whatever you're drinking, I want some." So I share what I have learned to be so active at my age at www.gorefire.com.

I am in transition between beautiful Lenox, Massachusetts, and Guanajuato, Mexico. As soon as my transition is complete, I want to host couch surfers in Mexico, to share the wonderful cultural, and environmental treasures in Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende starting in November 2017. I just got back from a three month visit to explore San Isidro, Costa Rica, and am now in Guanajuato, Mexico doing the same thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel to workshops and conferences and like to spend part of the time on these trips getting to know people and places in the areas I visit.

I also want to get away from the cold New England winters. So I spend parts of the year in Latin America. But I don't want to be a tourist. I want to experience the richness of the culture from a local perspective.

And, of course, I want to share the beautiful area I live in with Couchsurfers.

Interests

My professional interest is life coaching. My primary private interest is trail hiking. I use to have two Percheron mares, but found a new home for them so I can be free to travel.

I also enjoy classical, jazz, and folk music.

As you will discover on my blog (http://gorefire.com/) my life priorities are health, relationship, passion, growth, spirituality, and contribution.

I'm currently mentoring, and running workshops in Massachusetts and Mexico on how to reFire, not reTire.

Music, Movies, and Books

See above for my favorite music.

Favorite movies include Casa Blanca, The Hunt for the Red October, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

I love great literature, and am currently reading perhaps the greatest novel of all time, Cervantes' Don Quixote.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Interviewed a dozen people in Costa Rica about Pura Vida. http://gorefire.com/category/values/pura-vida/

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach how to ReFire, not retire. Of course, at the rate of change in our world, I'm always learning. And, of course, one of the best ways of learning, is to share the knowledge.

As a former webmaster, I also teach basic website development. I currently run an online business, so I also teach and mentor people about internet marketing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to share my ReFirement and internet marketing skills with my hosts.

I make wicked breakfast crepes, and can flip a mean omelette.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, England, France, Germany, Nicaragua

Countries I’ve Lived In

Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, England, Mexico
