I'm a practical idealist. I care about the world in that way Joseph Campbell articulates so well, about seeking and finding an experience of being alive where our life experiences on the purely physical plane resonate with our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive. That can be found in a simple cup of coffee. A smile. A look. An entrance to the reverence of a well-designed space with layers and layers of history and significance, like each of our lives. Or even in a pop song. I like to keep the deep lighthearted.
